Grade A Solicitor AOD North at Irwin Mitchell

The role

Irwin Mitchell is seeking a Grade A Solicitor with 4-10 years of PQE to join their Litigation practice in Newcastle. This role focuses on Asbestos and Occupational Disease cases, involving managing a caseload and supporting senior colleagues on complex matters.

What you'll do

Take ownership of your own litigated caseload
Assist senior colleagues on high value or complex matters
Work closely with clients and their families
Provide clients with exceptional legal advice
Secure justice for clients

What we're looking for

Approximately 4-10 years PQE

Strong background in Asbestos and Occupational Disease litigation

Ability to work with empathy and integrity

Experience managing your own caseload

Experience assisting Partners and senior team members on high value cases

Clear enthusiasm for Asbestos and Occupational Disease law

Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for clients

Aptitude for business development

Passion for building strong client and referrer relationships

Excellent oral and written communication skills

High quality drafting

Undertaking detailed legal research

Ability to work independently on litigated cases
